A Firefly Lantern

The Firefly Lanterns are the main source of light in Flox.
Since electricity hasnt really been a viable power source in Flox ever since the collapse of humanity, floxians find other means to power their world.


The main source of "artifical" light in flox is firefly lanterns. These lanterns are hooked to lamps anywhere a floxian needs a little extra light.

These lanterns act as a small nest for magical fireflies, its built with eveything they needs to survive inside a cozy home with plenty of food.
The feeding material used in these is highly nutritional and slightlly addictive, making sure that the little bugs will not leave the station so long as they can eat.
Feeding material needs refilled semi-regularly.

Blinds are built into the outside of the lamp, to close off the main source of light when the brightness is no longer desired, but this will not prevent the stray fly from fluttering off outside the nest.
They are here on their own accord after all.
The firefly lamps are suggested housing, not a cage.
